Hill and Mountain guided walks.
Hill walking in the Cheviots
Whether your visiting the area on holiday or just for a day excursion, we can help you get the most from your day in this remote part of England. We specialize in getting off the beaten track and showing you a side to these hills most walkers don’t ordinarily see.
Most of our walks are organised on a bespoke basis, around you or your groups aspirations and abilities. Examples of what we can offer are:
Pennine way and Border Ridge walks.
walk the Northumberland sections of the Pennine way along the Border between England and Scotland, without the worry of route finding, leaving you to enjoy the local scenery and places of interest.
Off the beaten track!
Let us take you to the side of the Cheviots most walkers don’t see. Using our local knowledge, we can guide you on 1, or multiple day walks along remote paths and over open access land, to see hidden valleys and the places most people don’t get to see.
When out in the hills most walkers only marvel at the scenery and completely miss most of the wildlife and Flora that surrounds them. We can tailor make your walk to take you to the areas where you are most likely to spot wild animals such as roe deer, stoats and buzzards among many others. Your guide will use their local knowledge and techniques to allow you to get as close as possible to these shy animals and their habitats. Best time of year is in the Spring and early Autumn when the berry’s are out.
Guiding in the Lake District.
The Lake district is home to the 3 highest mountains in England and although it receives many thousands of visitors every year, it still remains one of the most wild and rugged places in the UK.
Whether you wish to climb England highest mountain Scafell Pike, or scramble along the famous Striding edge, let us guide you in a safe and encouraging environment allowing you to enjoy your days out, safe in the knowledge your in the hands of a qualified “Mountain Leader” in both summer and winter and member of the Mountain leader training association.
Mountain weather can be unforgiving for the unwary and change quickly. All our walks will be planned with a variety of alternate routes to best match the weather conditions on the day. This allows us the greatest flexibility to give you best experience without compromising on safety.
